Where will you be during the in-between moments throughout the day?
The Ceremony and Reception are the highlights of the wedding day that most people focus on and plan for meticulously, but they are not the only important parts of the day. The entire wedding day is special in that it is filled with so much excitement and anticipation. There is a lot of emotion and good energy throughout the whole getting ready process, the moments right before you walk down the aisle, and all the other little moments in between. There could be fun and laughter with your friends, a private moment spent with your mom, and the time your dad sees his little girl for the first time in her wedding gown. These are all moments you will want to remember and they are moments that can be amazing when captured on camera. Yes, a lot can be done by a good wedding photographer with the right lenses and camera settings, for blurring out the background and other artistic techniques, but having good light and a pretty background also makes a difference. When choosing where you will have your hair and make up done, where you will put your dress on, where you will put your shoes on, where you will wait before walking down the aisle, and all the other places you will spend time throughout your day, consider what the background will look like in your photographs. Is it pretty? Is there good natural light (preferred)…or at least white ceilings if not? And will there be enough room to move around without being crowded? You may also want to ask someone to be in charge of clearing up any mess that accumulates throughout the getting ready process. Keep these things in mind as you choose your spaces before your wedding day to ensure even the backgrounds of your wedding day photos are looking their best, just as you are!
